Elegant Serged Edge
Serging is a very popular, elegant edge. It is whip-stitched on by machine and shows about ¼” on the face of the rug. You can find this edge on Oriental rugs as well as a lot of premade rugs and runners sold in stores. Most of our serging is done with a nylon yarn, wears well and is fade resistant. We also carry a line of cotton yarn.
We have an array of colors in both lines to match most rugs. Serging is often used in settings such as dining rooms, formal living rooms, and stair cases. It is also seen on a lot of patterned carpets. Serging may just add that extra touch you’re looking for! Call us to learn more about serging
